Celebrating our 10,000th tele-underwriting milestone

We've just conducted our 10,000th tele-underwriting interview!

This service provides clients with direct access to our in-house underwriters and makes the application process faster, easier and more convenient. It also generates a quicker response with 50% of users getting a decision on the same day.

A record of your client's interview gives them greater certainty at claims time and eases your compliance burden. Introduced in 2015, the service captures the information we need to quickly assess applications while reducing your paperwork.

We regularly check to ensure our tele-underwriting processes and underwriting rules engine continue to provide value to you and your clients. Data from the Asteron Life electronic application reporting summary suggests we're on the right track.

Three quarters of Asteron Life submissions are handled via electronic application with 40% of these not being referred – giving customers an instant decision at point of sale. Our underwriting professionals connect directly with Suncorp customers and navigate through their medical and financial well-being more deeply.

We also regularly check with our advisers to make sure we are on the right track.
