AFA and Asteron Life announce winner of 2016 AFA Excellence in Education Award

CANBERRA: 6 October, 2016 – The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and Asteron Life (Asteron) have announced Steve Nielsen of Ascent Wealth Management as the winner of the 2016 AFA Excellence in Education Award (the Award).

Winners of the Award, which celebrates its ninth annivesary this year, are chosen for their commitment to professional development which is judged on four criteria – formal education (50%), practical application of that education (30%), contribution to the profession through education (10%) and contribution to their community through education (10%).

AFA General Manager, Member Services, Partnerships & Campus AFA, Nick Hakes, said Mr Nielsen excelled across all four criteria.
