Asteron supports Victorian bushfire victims


Asteron stands ready to assist customers who have been impacted by the tragic and devastating Victorian bushfires. All of us at Asteron are deeply saddened by the event, and will use our resources and capabilities to assist our customers during these difficult times.

Asteron’s claims process has been streamlined to provide accelerated access to funds and special arrangements are now in place for those impacted by the fires:

  • We are extending the Grief Support benefit to all policyholders affected by the bushfires
  • We are providing support via a claims hotline 1800 024 812

We are also working closely with the insurance industry body IFSA (Investment and Financial Services Association) to manage potential claims and support claimants.

The Suncorp Group - Asteron’s parent company - has donated $500,000 to the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund.

Employees of the Group’s wealth management arm, which includes Asteron, Tyndall, Guardian Financial Planning and Cameron Walshe, are undertaking additional fundraising.
